Pittsburgher Pleads Guilty To Burglaries
A Pittsburgh man, Philip Eugene Meighan, 20, pled guilty in Indiana County Court to seven burglaries in the Indiana area. Judge Robert C. Earley sentenced him to six concurrent terms of one to three years plus a five year probation after release. Meighan will serve at Western Correctional Diagnos tic and Classification Center in Pittsburgh. His burglaries net $8,838 in cash and property. fines total $350 and costs $577. Charges include Dairy Queen on N Fourth Street, BP Inn near Home, Keystone service Station in White Township, and the James Hurley residence in White Township. About $7,390 was taken from Hurley.

Harrisburg John M Clark executive director of the Bureau of Employment Security reminded employers in the eight county disaster area they may receive relief from unemployment compensation charges. The 1974 legislative amendment tied to Hurricane Agnes allows the Governor to waive charges for non charging of employers after a disaster.
