One killed and two hurt in a collision on the William Penn highway two miles west of Blairsville Westmoreland county at 9 30 Wednesday evening Marie Fulcomer 27 died instantly her sister Alice 20 and Peter Wright 26 of Irwin were treated for injuries Alice initially in Latrobe hospital with a fractured arm severe leg wounds Wright suffered cuts and bruises The truck driver Albert Kreuzer of Pittsburgh was warned about a tail light and the crash occurred as the car skidded after Wright braked and struck the truck. authorities worked to extricate all three from the wreck and the scene was under investigation

Blairsville Girls Attacked. Suspect Escapes in Alley
Teresa Bertonarchi, 16, and Clara Dixon, 19, employees of the Jamison Hotel in Blairsville, were assaulted at 9:00 P.M. on South Liberty Street by a white man who emerged from an alley near the abandoned Brown packing plant. Dixon resisted, was struck and knocked to the pavement as Bertonarchi and others pursued the assailant, who vanished when alarm spread. Residents searched the area but found no trace of the attacker.
