Two Large Barns Burn on Hazlett Farm

Annie Kustka of house 178 charged with selling liquor without a license. found 30 cases Elk Run beer 2 cases whiskey and whisky in quarts. Warrant issued for John Shuster and wife and their bartender at house 20 Teclin. only the bartender detained. Premises held 100 doses Elk Run beer multiple quarts whiskey and wines were seized.

Senator Kline Must Answer For Road Running Incident
In Chambersburg Pennsylvania on August 20 1910 Miss Myra Lloyd Dock driving toward Caledonia was nearly run down by a party including State Senator Charles Blige and two guardsmen. Dock pursued them to magistrate court where Senator Kline and two guardsmen were fined 215 plus costs for failing to observe danger signals and keep right. Kline admitted aiding to make the law then violated it and surrendered the chain. The case follows a long dispute over coal car distribution between railroads and coal operators in central Pennsylvania.

They won the large handsome cup for the regimental drill meet and will keep the trophy if they win twice more.
