The Alexander family held its eleventh reunion at Mack Memorial Center with about 100 attendees from Erie Pittsburgh DuBois Wilkinsburg Turtle Creek and nearby towns. Officers were re elected and plans set for next year at Parker's Dam Penfield.
Indiana County chapter Mothers of Democracy held a Friday meeting at Memorial Hall to mark its 39th anniversary with a baked ham dinner for 41 members. Ella Jane Warner read, assisted by Mrs. Henderson, as Mrs. Howard Logan was elected president with officers and trustees named. Reports, projects, and a rummage sale planned for October 18 and 19 at the Community Center, plus Christmas card sales, were announced.
