Dennis Gaston 21 of Indiana County died in a British Columbia crash while serving as an Airman First Class in the U S Air Force stationed at Kamloups. He and his brother Gordon joined in November 1958. Survived by parents Walter and Giuston, siblings Eileen and Lana Beth. Funeral plans unavailable.

Sisters Die In Wilkinsburg Fire Tragedy
A suburban Wilkinsburg blaze on Sunday killed two young sisters and injured a third sister and their father. The mother was unharmed. Firefighters confined the fire to the second floor of the 2 1/2 story brick house. The cause was not determined.

Last round up ends for Dolly in Strongstown parade
Dolly the substitute lead horse for the Conestoga wagon in the Indiana to Strongstown trek died after a holdup near Ewings Mills. Aged over 20, she could not pull the load on Route 422 east and passed away a few miles from Strongstown as passengers felt sadness at her loss.

Barn Blaze Destroys Parkwood Area Farm Buildings
Fire in the Parkwood area leveled a large barn on the George Abel farm with losses over 40000. Homer City volunteers arrived around 2 p m to find the barn and several smaller structures gutted. The owner is listed as C P Weber, leased to the Abel family. Estimated losses include the barn and equipment, 300 bushels of corn, 3000 bales of hay, four tons of straw, a tractor, truck, and other farm implements. Center Two Wage Tax Wins OK
Center Township school board adopted a one percent wage tax to offset reduced property valuations. Tax begins Oct. 1 and runs to July 1, 1902. Strange Death For Butler Boy
A Buller area youth from Cabot Township died after sudden neck pain while working in a barn. Lawrence Freehling, 14, was stricken Thursday night at his uncle’s farm and died Saturday night at St. Francis Hospital. He was one of eleven children of Mr and Mrs Ralph Freehling.
