Golden wedding anniversary of Mr and Mrs Lovell at Clymer
Mr and Mrs John Lovell of Clymer celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at the K of P Hall in Clymer with about 200 guests. Rev Clark officiated at 1 o'clock pm. music by Mrs N L Diem and others accompanied the celebration. The couple came to Clymer 18 years ago. they have 15 children, 37 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Gifts totaled 250 dollars. Attendees included relatives from DuBois, Huntsville Mo, Windmere, Indiana Hospital, and South Connellsville Pa.

Westmoreland Men Injured in County Crash
Police report intoxication among all men involved as two machines sustained heavy damage in a Westmoreland crash. Clarence Klingensmith, of Derry township, released on habeas corpus after a Greensburg hearing. He was held for a bad check charge and returned to county jail with an Allegheny detainer noted.

Robbery mystery of past six months cleared Friday
A long investigation led to the arrest of Mrs Grusong, Mrs Patz and Mason at Fulton Run for thefts tied to numerous robberies in the past six months. Police traced goods to B A P cars in DuBois and other local stores. items included groceries, clothing, tools, a typewriter, tires, and jewelry. The trio admitted believing the goods were stolen but denied direct knowledge of thefts. they remained held for court.
