Draft Changes for Aliens in Army Service Published

The War Department issued orders allowing clerks and similar personnel to wear army uniforms with distinguishing marks, and specified uniforms for motor drivers and messengers. Non combatants will wear white armbands. regular olive drab with expeditionary forces. Neutral states protest foreign service drafting of first naturalized aliens. Local exemption boards work to clear claims in three days, then call more eligibles to meet increased quotas. The Gazette will publish accepted and emped names with reasons.
