Rescue Effort For Boy Trapped In Narrow Well

Man Clings To Frantic Coal Car Ride
In Sayre Pennsylvania a coal car loaded with 50 turns rolled down an incline while 32 year old Owen Fassete leaped aboard to try to stop it. The car sped through Sayre at high speed before Fassete jumped off to avoid crashing through a barrier. One Injured In Districts Traffic Toll
Traffic accidents in Indiana County over the last 24 hours left one motorist with minor injuries. Robert L. Bowser, 18, of Kittanning R.D., was slightly hurt when his car failed to negotiate a curve on Route 85 and overturned two miles west of Rural Valley at 9:45 p.m. Friday, with outpatient treatment for cuts and bruises at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.
