Pittsburg dispatch reports District Attorney WL will try Hartje for perjury and conspiracy despite kinship to millionaire J Henri Ferguson. Ferguson, Hartje’s relative and senior counsel for him in a divorce case, argued Hartje would not be tried. Hartje faces an indictment for conspiring with Clifford Hoos, a negro coachman, in a corruption case tied to national figures.
