In Douglas Arizona an elderly Grinnell Iowa woman identified as Ada C. Parks, about 60 to 70, was choked to death in her berth on the Southern Pacific Golden State Limited early today as she resisted a rape attempt. Harold T. Lantz, 28, a discharged railroad employee from Tucson, confessed. The crime occurred after boarding at Bisbee while the train sped east around 4:00 AM. passengers heard nothing until the conductor was alerted. Lantz had no ticket and claimed a dishonorable Army discharge.
