An ad touts Dr Thacher's Liver and Blood Syrup to restore appetite boost digestion and tone the liver. It promises a gentle bowel movement and healthier blood with a money back guarantee if not satisfied.
A long ledger style list names Gazette subscribers granted aluminum sets, including numerous individuals from Indiana County and nearby towns. The roster shows names with addresses such as Homer City, Penn Run, Shelocta, Blairsville, Creekside, Marion Center, and Glen Campbell among others, with scattered rural routes and post offices. Also included is an unrelated note about Earle Brown, a Hennepin County sheriff, claiming descent from Captain David Brown, pioneer in the American Revolution.
A cablegram from Frank S. Land reports DeMolay chapters established in Rome and Milan, the first in Italy. Judge Alexander G. Cochran says strong interest and enthusiasm accompany the new chapters. DeMolay, for sons of Master Masons ages sixteen to twenty one, promotes love, reverence, patriotism, purity, loyalty, comradeship and fidelity. Since its 1919 start in Kansas City, it has grown to 981 chapters and nearly one hundred thousand members, spreading across the United States, Canada, Philippines and Europe.
PINE FLATS Misa Firma and Beatrice Rose of Johnstown returned home Sunday after two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Kelly. Mrs. Ralph C. Wise and son of Mansfield are visiting relatives. Visitors include Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Widdowson and two children and several couples at E. H. Williams home. Gaylord Gressley injured August 6 when a barn door fell on his leg, causing a comminuted fracture. J. C. Kelly attended Redmen’s picnic at Mahaffey, Elizabeth Elwood visiting Pittsburgh. Some reflections in a mirror amuse some people.

He says driving power depends on brain liver potential difference and can be regulated by chemicals or shocks.
