Penn State Phase Opens on New Men's Dormitory
State College August 10 work began on the first group of a new men's dormitory at Pennsylvania State College by F D Beyer Company Tyrone, under a contract awarded by the college trustees. The unit aims to be under roof before snow and ready for use next summer, expanding admission capacity by about 6000 students by 1928, with future units planned as funds allow. The design features red brick, velvet finish, and white trim, with three-story central structure and two four-story wings, modern amenities, and separate wall-divided units.
