Indianans face continued heat with no relief until Wednesday as forecast by E G Lorentz. Today expected fair and warmer with temperatures above 90 and high humidity. Showers and thunderstorms possible later. Yesterday’s high reached 90, low 70, mean 76, 0.08 inch precipitation in 24 hours.
Davis outlines cheaper inland waterways as key to farm relief and closer farm city ties. He cites flood control progress on the Mississippi, with plans to spend billions to finish flood elimination over the coming decade. Crocker predicts sweeping Republican gains west of the Mississippi.
The Governor plans a reply to Editor White asserting that many bills Smith voted for in the Assembly, criticized as pro liquor, were Republican sponsored and unanimously passed.
