Camp Saylor Open House Scheduled
CRESSON An Open House will be held at Camp Saylor Youth Conservation Corps Camp at 915 Keystone Avenue August 7 from L to 4 pan. The six week residential camp offers 16 girls and 16 boys ages 15 to 18 a chance to earn money and study the environment. The camp is named for the late Congressman John P Saylor. Open House, organized by corpsmembers, will feature camp tours demonstrations skits and refreshments. Corpsmembers are doing restoration work at Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site with hourly bus tours to the Lemon House. Camp Saylor is sponsored by the National Park Service to preserve the site and Johnstown Flood National Memorial.

Fire destroys garage and car in Wandin blaze
