National Guard Opens Encampment at Camp Shannon
Brig. Gen. Charles Curtis of Allen town will command the Pennsylvania National Guard during its first postwar encampment at Camp Shannon on the Indian Gap reservation. The two week training period starts Saturday with Camp Shannon designated for this use. A large white grub found in West Indies pith of palm trees is eaten as a delicacy. when roasted it is said to taste like chestnuts.
