Washington Aug 6 The Federal Farm Board issued a statement noting that wheat prices have been depressed by crowding of grain into crowded terminals transportation facilities. The board said the crowded wheat causes a wider gap between cash wheat prices and futures prices and urged restraint without forecasting a proper price for this market year.
Washington Aug. 6 The Republican National Committee will be reshaped with Dr. Hubert Work retiring as national chairman and Claudius H. Huston expected to succeed. Mrs. Alvin T. Hert to leave the post with Mrs. Worthington Scranton of Pennsylvania likely to take over the women’s division. Southern state tensions will be eased as several members are dropped and reorganized under Hoover’s directions.
A 50 year coal miner is mourned as his wife died years ago and several children survive him. Burials are pending in Youngstown area lines. In another incident, Sykes Miner Hart Morrell was injured at the Cascade Shaft after a mining motor jolted him, with fears of a fractured neck pending X-ray results at Maple Avenue Hospital. In Wilkes-Barre, a blast at Truesdale colliery No. 20 tunnel killed Roman Dupes and injured four others. 33 of 40 workers in the area escaped as rescue crews recovered the injured.

Howard Brubaugh a 45 year old Pittsburgh bakery truck driver was seriously injured when his vehicle struck an abutment and overturned on the William Penn Highway one mile west of New Alexandria. Funeral Wednesday 2 p.m. at East Ridge Church with burial in church cemetery.
Richard J. Sandlands 26 and John M. Heath 31 were involved in a fatal incident on the Detroit River. Heath allegedly resisted arrest aboard the cabin cruiser Maxine Heath. Sandlands disappeared after an apparent struggle when Heath refused to show credentials. Heath later agreed to surrender per his attorney Max H. Finkelton.
