Air Truck delivery prototype lands for mail and goods

The first air truck, a 4 Ford Stout tri motor all metal craft, has been delivered to Royal Typewriter Company for immediate service. It features a parachute cargo attachment allowing delivery to 500 cites and a 500 mile cruising radius. The plane uses Wright Whirlwind engines akin to those on historic trans Atlantic flights.

Car Crash on Unimproved Bridge Sparks Fines and Injuries

A morning crash on the highway bridge between Arcadia and Glen Campbell left driver Border with minor injuries and a heavily damaged car. The unpaved bridge has drawn repeated complaints after several accidents in the past year. Also, seven-year-old William Gall fractured an arm at play, and Mrs. Thomas Stonebraker pled guilty to assault and battery with fines and costs following proceedings before a justice of the peace.

Death of Mrs. Harry E. K. Mitchell in Indiana Hospital

Mrs. Harry E. K. Mitchell dies at Indiana Hospital at age 59. Fire Destroys House. Two Burned En Route to Hospital

A kerosene stove in the field ignited a blaze that consumed the house and its contents. Neighbors arrived as flames spread, Streams' ambulance was summoned, and Margaret and her mother were rushed to Indiana Hospital. Margaret suffered burns likely fatal. the total damage is about $10,000 with some insurance coverage.

Subway victim found in rear of unlocked compartment

A first bullet was found near the front of an unlocked female restroom compartment where a body lay. A second bullet had shattered into about twenty pieces in the opposite compartment. Police traced the killer to Frank Weigand, 40, estranged husband, who was taken into custody after returning from work. He claimed innocence and said his wife was a good woman.
