Harrisburg, Aug 4. A 27 year old mother, Ella Bergstresser, is jailed on murder charges in the asphyxiation deaths of her two infants Vannie 16 months and Ronald four months. The bodies were found in a second floor apartment after a gas odor underlined the tragedy. A note to the husband stated You said I didn't have the nerve. Now you have nobody but yourself.

Fourth Big Well Brought In Near Renova, Pa
In Renova Pennsylvania a fourth natural gas well was completed in the Leidy Town fields. The well reached 6100 feet and produced at 45 million cubic feet per day. Steel Shortage Forces Indiana Plant To Close
