Nixon In Sessions With Polish Reds In Warsaw Visit

Two Accidents On Route 22 Cause Several Injuries

State Police reported two separate accidents on Route 22. A three car crash five miles east of Blairsville involved Charles Salerne and Grace Bruner with a third vehicle driven by Robert Pohle, causing damage totals of 400, 800, and 1,900 dollars respectively. In a second incident near Armagh, Richard Stertzel and Michael Paul collided at an intersection. damages were 100 and 700 dollars.

Galvanize Poison Cause of Death in Upstate Farm Accident

A 42 year old father of six, George de Walt, collapsed and died while welding a galvanized line inside a combine on a Forks Township farm near Easton. Northampton County Coroner George P. Kametz cites galvanize poisoning as the apparent cause and scheduled an autopsy for Monday. De Walt died Saturday as two of his children played nearby.

Soil Workers See Terrace Construction

Technicians of the U S Soil Conservation Service Indiana attended a training session last week at the Earl Glasser farm in Rayne Township. Diversion terrace construction in Indiana County has increased as farmers recognize their value. Through the ACP cost sharing program the Indiana County ASCS office assists farmers with installation at about seven percent of total cost. By July 15, 1959, 12,400 feet of terraces had been built, with 60,000 feet more planned by fall.
