An auto carrying three Indiana women from a New York convention crashed on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Mrs. Coy Elizabeth Heath 58 of Lafayette was killed, Mrs. Ruby Parks 63 wife of West Lafayette City Judge Morris Parks is in critical condition, and Mrs. Gladys Sargent 58 of Lafayette is in fair condition. The car, driven by Parks, veered off the road onto the berm, crossed the median and overturned 24 miles west of the Allegheny Valley Interchange.
Andrew Barna son of Mr and Mrs Mike Barna of Coral completed 22 months in the navy. He served aboard the USS Tarawa at the Boston Navy Yard and is now on shore duty at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. A Homer City High School 1953 graduate, he worked in Indiana before enlistment.

She praises American women, recalls Greece’s vote expansion for women, and notes her husband’s UN delegate role. The Kuchars already have three daughters and a son, and Mrs Kuchar quipped that her son will be outnumbered at home. The last Braddock Hospital triplets occurred four years ago.
First Patient Priebe, instructor of surgical nursing at University Hospital, began her orthopedic nursing class with lectures on patient care for broken bones and then conducted a real patient practice in Oklahoma City. Miss Priebe herself broke her leg in a student faculty softball game.
Pvt Clyde Smith 17 son of Mr and Mrs Denver Smith Homer City RD 2 completed army basic training at Ft Knox Ky. He entered service January 1955 and was granted a fur lough after training before assignment to a new unit for further training and duty. He attended Homer City High School prior to enlisting.
Seouls president observed as the 1st Field Army led more than ten divisions northward from Yangdokwon, 45 miles east, in joint exercises with U S and South Korean air support. The maneuvers, staged since Monday, involved extensive allied forces testing offensive readiness.
