The Black Lick Soil Conservation District finished distributing nursery stock. About 80,000 tree seedlings were allocated for reforestation, mainly Red and White Pine Hemlock and Larch with some Sugar Maple and Oak. Shrub border plantings were included for birds and game. 2,000 blight resistant chestnuts were short of requests, but future shipments are expected as the Department of Agriculture works to reestablish the chestnut.
