William M Campbell Dies at 40 in Oakmont Railroad Official
William Miller Campbell assistant trainmaster of the Conemaugh division of the Pennsylvania Railroad died at his Oakmont home on April 24 at age 40. Born in the county in 1866 he married Sarah J. Mitchell on September 8, 1891 and leaves two daughters. He learned telegraphy as a boy and began as an agent near East Brady before rising to general yardmaster in Pittsburgh and later assistant trainmaster. Though transferred to the new Conemaugh division two weeks earlier he fell ill and did not assume the office. He was active in the Methodist church and in M. M. C. G. A. work.
