Rescued Pair Come Through From Abandoned Mine Rescue
Dr D E Robertson and Charles Alfred Scadding were pulled from the Moose River gold mine after 10 days entombed. Dr J L Brubaker an 82 year old physician in Altoona forgave thousands owed by hundreds of people. He said many friends apologize for unpaid bills and feared prosecution, but he had no intention to press collections and had it in his will to forget such debts. He confessed he did not know the total amount due and said he did not care.

Houk was arrested Saturday night by the state highway patrol after a car owned by him and driven by Gerald McCullough 23 of North Eleventh street Indiana collided near Commodore. Sergeant L R Feloni arrested both men and McCullough was taken to Indiana Hospital with facial injuries while M E B Dayarmin of Cherry Tree, driver of the other car, was arrested for driving without a license.
