New York April 2 Thomas A Ennis and Charles V Stoppani, members of the defunct brokerage, emerged from session and said they hope to offer creditors a settlement within a week to rehabilitate the business. Ennis turned over property and stocks valued at 75000 to the receiver, including his Allenhurst New Jersey summer home, a yacht worth 10900, and his automobile. Mrs Stoppini and the junior partner's widowed mother surrendered 75000 in good securities collateral against a 480000 loan. The move precedes formation of the largest independent telephone company in the United States with plants valued at 14 000 000 and over 150 000 telephones in Ohio West Virginia Pennsylvania Maryland and part of New York state.

New York April 23. John J Williams, a machine company employee, ordered by the supreme court to pay a 14000 judgment with interest from May 4, 1904 at three dollars a week. At sixty he would require over 1280 years to satisfy the debt, while Mrs. J C Fisk who would receive the money would live past a century. Williams and Fisk were formerly brokers in the brokerage business and disputes over funds led to the suit and judgment not fully paid.
William F Bott of Homestead Pennsylvania was found guilty of bigamy in Judge Strimple's court in Cleveland. The state charged he deserted his wife in 1906 and later married Katherine Brown as William G Barclay. Bott jailed awaiting sentence.
