Ex-Lawrence Aide Named Associate Director Post
Harrisburg AP A. Alan Sulcone, former secretary of labor and industry in Gov Lawrence’s Democratic administration, is named to a newly created 22500 a year post as associate director of the joint State Government Commission. He begins May 1. The commission also raises director Guy W. Davis’s salary to 20000. Sulcone will be joined by Dr. Paul H. Wueller of Dunncanon as the second associate director.

BERKELEY Calif AP there are 231 African Americans and 76 Mexican Americans among 26063 students at the University of California Berkeley. Chancellor Heyns ordered the survey to guide plans to increase minority enrollment with several programs to be proposed soon. The total minority share is seven percent with other races including American Indians 61 Filipinos 25 Japanese 525 and Chinese 3586.
