Keith Historians Commemorate Founding Anniversary

The Seventy fifth anniversary of Keith Laboratory School was marked with a morning assembly in the Demonstration Room. Keith Junior Historians wrote the program under Dr. John R Sank and teachers Misa Langlin Crambel Charley and Lingeefelt. The show covered 1873 1900 1921 and 1080 with acting band and vocal music.

Mama's Baby Boy at Clymer High School next week

The Junior Class at Clymer High presents a three act comedy, Mama's Baby Boy, in the school gym at 8:00 p.m. on April 26 and 27. Directed by Clarence B. Stephenson and Ward B. Booher, the cast includes Elaine Ward, Joe Lazarick, James Daniels, Eleanor Federinka, Kathryn Hughman, Albert Clement, Anna Mae Zasaday, Mary Jane Myers, Romaine Fleming, Sandy Caldwell, Arvilla Edwards, and others.

Brush Valley PTA Elects New Officers at April Meeting

The Brush Valley Parent-Teachers Association met Tuesday evening April 18 at Brush Valley High School. Devotions were led by Mrs. W. H. Seybolt. A bake sale was proposed with Mrs. Dorothy Carney named chair. Clyde McCrea announced a school picnic at Idlewild Park on May 31. The County P T Spring Basket is set for May 18 at the Presbyterian Church of Indiana. Mrs. Flora Bell sang two solos with Rachel Davis at piano. New officers were elected: President Clyde McCrea, Vice President Mrs. Reed McCormick, Treasurer Mrs. Dorothy Carney, Recording Secretary Mrs. B. D. Watkin, Corresponding Secretary Mrs. Virgil Overdurtl. Rev. W. O. H. Seybolt installed them and urged lasting pe ace. About 100 railroad toys will send 30 Scouts and Valley Forge, Pa., to Nathan Jamboree June 30 to July 6.

Easter weekend visitors speak to Marion Center area families

Marion Center and nearby households welcomed several relatives and friends over the Easter weekend. Mrs. Raymond Walker hosted Eunice Walker from Indiana Teachers College, while Mr and Mrs L E Crawford of Ermington visited relatives east of town. Other guests included Mrs Frank Lappert of Akron and the Flicks from Edgewood, Mr and Mrs 8 W Thomas and family, and business visitors from Indiana. Mrs Way improves after illness, Wynkoop returns from Florida, and residents join fishing trips to GardeaU and McKean County. Will Emerick visits Pittsburgh, and multiple locals travel to Washington, D C with Mary Caldwell and Mary accompanying them.

Stratford observed the 386th birthday of William Shakespeare with flag ceremonies along Bridge Street. American Ambassador Douglass unveiled a plaque at the Shakespeare Memorial Theater praising reader contributions to the theater’s building fund and Shakespeare’s universal impact.

Italy expects Trieste return pledged by U S France Britain

Rome April 22 Foreign Minister Count Carlo Sforza told the Chamber of Deputies he is convinced the United States France and Britain will keep their pledge to return Trieste to Italy. He cited Soviet obstruction and noted Yugoslavia occupies zone B and has annexed part of Trieste.

Injury at Loree Footwear Plant Injures Miss Sulicic

Grant Faces Life For Placing Bomb

Los Angeles reports John H. Grant, 34, accused of attempting to place a time bomb aboard an air liner, faces a possible life-term plus 18 counts of attempted murder. Deputy District Attorney George Kemp said Grant, held on suspicion of attempted murder of his wife and two children, will be charged with 16 counts and a health and safety code violation. Thirty thirteen others were aboard.

Miss Easter's Mother Confused and Charged in Abandoned Infant

In Carnegie near Pittsburgh a newborn left on a front porch led to charges against Mrs. Mary Kapczynski for child abandonment and to morals charges against Patrick Cunningham the man who lived with her. The infant found on Easter day is in Children's Hospital.

Plane missing after flight over Sagami Bay near Tokyo

An air transport C-54 from Okinawa bound for Tachikawa disappeared after radio contact near Oshima as searching crews, including Air Force units and Japanese police, combed the Odawara region amid low ceilings and rain. The accident could rank among the occupation’s worst.

UC Regents Cancel Loyalty Oath In Compromise

Derailment Ties Up B. & O Trains in Pittsburgh Yard

Derailment blocked the main line of the Baltimore and Ohio in Pittsburgh yards. Three freight cars jumped tracks with no injuries. Eastbound Detroit New York Express and Cleveland Baltimore Express delayed one to five hours. Capitol Limited and Columbus and other trains affected. Interdenominational church merger planned for fall

New National Council of Churches of Christ in the United States of America will form this fall in Cleveland from seven interdenominational agencies. Serrill aide named by PNPA in Harrisburg

Joseph H. Camp Jr of Ormond Beach Florida is named associate manager of the Pennsylvania Newspaper Publishers Association. He succeeds Theodore A. Serrill as general manager, and Serrill had taken over from the late William H. Hardy. Camp is a World War II veteran and Florida Bar member. Mrs Camp accompanies him to Harrisburg to set up residence.
