Argonne physicists report massive new particle N-asterisk-3245

University of Michigan and Argonne National Lab physicists announce the discovery of a highly massive nucleon resonance named N-asterisk-3245. Using Argonne’s 12.6 GeV synchrotron, they produced the proton energized state from pi mesons and copper targets, with a lifetime of one ten thousandth of a millionth of a second, and published in Physical Review Letters.

LBJ Near End Of Vacation
