Middleburg Pa April 18 INS Sherman L Strawser a Snyder county farmhand today implicated his sweetheart Zilla Gill 16 and her parents Mr and Mrs Lester Gill in a robbery that killed his former employer Charles Gable a well known farmer District Attorney Henry J Sommers announced the immediate arrest of the Gill family and that Attorney General Charles J Margiotti indicated a reprieve would be granted delaying Strawser execution from April 19 to June 24 so he can testify against the Gills Sommers said Strawser confirmed a statement to the Pardon Board by his counsel former Judge Miles J Potter seeking clemency in which he claimed the robbery was planned in the Snyder county jail where Gill was held for a $100 liquor fine Gable was shot and beaten with a hammer and robbed of $80 Strawser said he planned to use the money to buy a wedding dress for his bride to be Margiotti suggested prosecuting the Gill family Sommers said Strawser related Gill asked him to rob Gable to pay the liquor fine After visiting Strawser in his cell Margiotti said the prisoner asserted Gill and his wife promised to sign off and let him marry Zilla The Gill family would be brought to trial at the June term of court
