Blairsville and Indiana area hit by Easter weekend crashes
Eight persons were injured in Easter weekend highway accidents in the Indiana district. A Blairsville couple, Mr and Mrs Harry Palmer, were hurt when their sedan collided with a car driven by John Stear at the Seward bridge over the Pennsylvania Railroad tracks. The Palmers were treated and later taken to Blairsville. Johnny Kutney of Newport New Jersey was injured Saturday night after being struck by a truck on the Clymer Dixonville road. he was mangled but to be discharged soon. Homer City residents suffered minor injuries when their car failed to negotiate a curve on the Indiana Blairsville road at a bridge over Blacklick Creek. Authorities noted the Indiana detachment of state highway patrol investigated.

Ernest Man Shot Self in Leg While Handling Pistol
