Local Man Killed In Sharon Crash
Alvin B. Brewer of Indiana, residing at 403 School St, was killed in a car crash on the Sharon outskirts yesterday. Coroner James F. Elder said his vehicle left Route 418, struck two trees, and overturned after Brewer was ejected. He planned to celebrate his 21st birthday today and worked for Rust Engineering on a project at Sharon Steel in Farrell.

Youngster Confesses to Slaying Elderly Man in Dover Case
A 16 year old farmer and his mother confessed to murdering 70 year old Wade Woodridge of Bedford Virginia after a lonely hearts match. The body was buried in a pig pen later burned and dumped in Dover. Robert Vernon Brennan 16 and his mother Inez Brennan 45 were arrested with Robert's half brother Richard aiding as an accessory. First degree murder charges filed against the mother and son. The Brennangs had lived in Dover since 1948 moving from Laurel Springs New Jersey.
