Knowlton Named Regional ACUI Representative
Christopher Knowlton, longtime Indiana University administrator, has been appointed regional representative of the Association of College Unions International for a three year term starting April 10. He will cover ACUI member colleges in Pennsylvania West Virginia Maryland and the District of Columbia while maintaining his Indiana University duties. ACUI president Richard Blackburn praised the appointment as a significant contribution to the college union movement.

Seaway Expansion Study Set for Massena Locks
The Army Corps of Engineers will study doubling the St. Lawrence Seaway capacity with new locks near Massena New York after $100000 federal funds were approved. Public hearings on doubling the Eisenhower and Snell Locks begin June 6 in Chicago. If needed the project could be financed by users and completed in about four years.
