Highway Department Takes Over Indiana Streets On Primary
The Pennsylvania State Highway Department will maintain Indiana streets from curb to curb on the primary system, extending the state’s past 18 foot center maintenance. Philadelphia Street, Wayne Avenue, Seventh Street, Oakland Avenue, and Fourth Street up to borough lines will be included. Borough officials estimate yearly savings of at least $400 and relief from major repair costs. A three month old baby boy was found dead in a suitcase in the North Woods near the West End, Sunday around 8 p.m. Two girls discovering the scene alerted police. the infant showed no wounds.
