Two Convicts Die in California Prison Riot at Folsom
At Folsom Prison California on April 7 two convicts Harry Stewart of San Francisco and Edward Baker of Orange County were killed during a break for freedom. A third inmate Hy Tinklepaugh was shot in the abdomen and wounded. The escape attempt occurred while a baseball game was in progress in the upper yard and guards fired upon the fleeing men as they moved toward the quarry and spur track.
