Thieves Took Wrong Cheese at Mancelona Plant
In Mancelona Michigan thieves stole two 22 pound Colby cheeses from the Mancelona Cheese Co and police suspect a different group than last year. Cheesemaker James Gothrup notes the cheese needs two months to age and tastes like an old rubber shoe. A prior theft of similar cheese was found roadside with toothmarks suggesting the thieves wasted the product.
