San Francisco April 6 Admiral Baron Kantaro Suzuki failed to name a full list of ministers today as premier designate and after the fall of former Premier Koiso's government yesterday. Suzuki held talks with former premiers while seeking Army and Navy support and planned to name War and Navy ministers and others tomorrow. The cabinet composition was hoped to be completed in the morning with an investiture ceremony possible in the afternoon. The press urged a strong wartime cabinet and real unity to meet the fierce war situation.
Robert N. Waddell, insurance executive, announced his candidacy for mayor as a Republican. He labeled Pittsburg’s financial condition chaotic, criticizing a decade of mismanagement and administration that damaged the city’s reputation. Opponent is Cornelius D. Scully, a Democrat.

Allied officials report Fifth Army troops advancing nearly two miles north of Azzahe in the Italian mountains near the west coast. Mrs Flo Flack Bradford and Mrs Myrtle Taylor Willard from New York join Cluth Clover Manders Bert Clover Lawrence Clover and Thomas Carl of Sunbury as survivors.
