Wilkes Barre Pa April 6 Mrs Patrick Keary of Hallstead and Charles E Buttin of Springville elderly residents died from injuries suffered last Tuesday night when their homes were broken into and they were beaten unconscious. A blood stained ax handle found in Buttin’s home and crushed skulls suggest assault but police have no clues as robbery appears not to have been the motive.
