Fight for Life Opens in ICC Case Against Rail Line
The Hillsdale Coal and Coke Co sues Pennsylvania Railroad for 127858 in damages over alleged car allotment discrimination. Keystone Coal and Coke and D B Williams & Co are accused of benefiting from a scheme that cut independent operators off from adequate rail cars. The case seeks a definite ruling on railroad favoritism in car distribution. George Robinsteen of this place died suddenly while traveling to Pittsburgh, following a collapse in Blairsville Tunnel en route to Indiana. He had joined the Robinsteen Dollar Co with his brothers after its Pittsburg factory moved here. He died of an apparent stroke.

Two Wrecks at Twollick On the W. E. and P. Line
Last Wednesday morning a southbound freight train derailed at a switch near Twolick. The engine toppled into wreckage, seven freight cars piled up, engineer McCrea of DuBois and the fireman were only slightly hurt after leaping clear. Thursday evening a second southbound tender left the rails three cars away. no injuries, but traffic blocked for hours until a rescue train cleared the scene.
