Two cases of small pox were reported in Cherrytree this past week Porter King and Miss Garman daughter of John Garman were diagnosed on Saturday and placed under quarantine. Neither patient knows the exposure. Other county cases are progressing favorably and the Altman family quarantine below Blacklick was lifted on Tuesday.

Dugan Glass Co Forms Board of Directors
A meeting in this place Tuesday evening at D B Taylor’s office organized the Dugan Glass Co. to finalize its charter and pay the first installment to National Glass Co. The old directors were replaced by John P. Elkin president Toomes Dugan superintendent C R Smith treasurer W L Allan secretary and D B Taylor attorney. Ralph Grist formerly of Cokeville aged 23 is killed near Benwood West Virginia when crushed by a hoisting machine while employed there for a few weeks. Remains were brought to Blairsville for interment. He was a son of Mr and Mrs Charles Grist who moved from Cokeville years ago.

Death of Cokeville Miner at Blairsville Rail Yard
James A. Bair of Cokeville was found dead in Blairsville railroad yards early Sunday. Coroner M M Davis investigated. no inquest. Regent Deaths Patton Dies at Seventy Four in Indiana Ties
Hon John Denniston Patton died at his Philadelphia street home Monday at 7 am aged seventy four years and ten months after a long illness from cancer with heart failure as immediate cause. He was born in Indiana and spent most of his life in the area. He served as a Democratic congressman in 1882, later leading a retired life. Survived by his wife Emily Cane bell and children Mary, Wilson, John Patton, and Alice May Logan. Funeral Wednesday at 2 pm conducted by Rev F S Crawford at the Presbyterian church, Oakland cemetery interment.
