Henry Kellar a long time hardware dealer in the county died suddenly Monday morning in Shaffar and Killar's store after stopping there on his way home. He had struggled with health issues for years. Survived by his wife and several siblings, a son Charles was traveling. Funeral set for 1:30 today with services in Greenwood.
Names and amounts from the local pension docket show Niindalel 8 North Covode and Eliza Mock Brushvalley receiving monthly increases or grants. Mary Martin Canoe Ridge and Solomon Buterbaugh Cockport appear with increases or original entitlements set in 1905 to 1915, detailing January dates and monthly rates.
The regular annual meeting of the Indiana Provision Co. was held on Tuesday February 14. Directors reported profitable business and a good outlook under current conservation management. Directors elected were N N Ray G P McCartney B B Campbell James St Clair and W L Cal.
Kiski defeated Kidersridge Academy Of Histolage 85 to 18 in a rough game Saturday. The first half resembled football more than basketball with little teamwork. In the second half Kiski pressed hard, maintaining a fast pace as the visitors could not keep up. Spearman led in zeal for Kiski while Rosentret starred for Bidargridge.
Brotherhoods of Railway Conductors and Railway Trainmen report discontent with the current wage scale on the Buffalo Rochester and Pittsburgh Railroad. A committee plans to meet executives this week to present demands for a general increase, citing reduced crew pay despite improved traffic.
Buffalo and Susquehanna Railroad officials inspected properties north of Pittsburgh and spent two days in Indiana County to choose a site for new yards and shops on the Pittsburgh end. The decision is due within weeks, with a probable location near the Tadiera Armstrong line. An option on substantial property has been obtained in the district. Engineers accompanying the party noted extensions into the coal fields are not yet completed.

George Berburk of Coral hospitalized in Greensburg with three broken ribs and a sprained knee from mine accident. James Watt critically ill at home with typhoid. Buckalew family found destitute, sent to McClellantown. Stanley Books injured by axe slip. recovering. Homer City M E revival adds 55 to membership. Rev LePage praised, congregation gifts noted.
Monday evening February 18 marked a red letter meeting for New Century Club with Miss Leonard presiding at Normal. Members convened in Brodelphian Hall where Constitution was read and signed. The program featured patriotic songs, papers on true patriotism federation and women in reform, and an hour of social hour with refreshments.
The Farmer's institute held here last week was interesting but poorly attended. Judge White opened a resolution urging the legislature to create a State Highway Department and to grant a substantial appropriation for public road construction.
Special revival services begin Sunday evening at the local Free Methodist church. Rev. C. Wadding will preach on the subject Good and Evil, illustrated by chemicals. Services continue indefinitely with public invited to attend any or all.
Charles Helman son of James M Helman started for Homer Monday morning with a team and wagon but near the house a Cresson express struck the wagon killing a mule and demolishing the wagon. Charles jumped off and escaped injury.
Josephine Rolt involved in a wage dispute between yard workers and their superintendent. Twelve members of the state constabulary were rushed in on a special train Saturday night to Josephine. The forces arrived quietly and would have gone past if not for train orders. Constabulary returned Tuesday noon and departed Tuesday evening for Punxy.
Miss Eaabeth Weir of Pittshore spent Sunday with her parents Mia and Alex Stewart. Delos Herrick returned home from Blairsville. Clara Wherry went to South Bend due to her brother's typhoid illness. R M Wilson of Savings and Trust sold late S Klingamith estate at West Lebanon. Dr W Steele Bryan visited South Fifth Street relatives. Prof J Lew Allison passed through to Kingsburg from Pannsylvania. Indiana sportsmen attended the Panxsutawney gathering. Delos A Urtrick James N Stewart and W R Wehrle led the Indiana delegation.
Amara J Norris McCoy son of R and McCoy and Katharine Howe daughter of Mrs Shattock married at the bride’s father’s residence on Church Street. Rev J McCoy of Marion Center officiated. About 35 guests attended with a reception at the groom’s home on Philadelphia Street. The couple plan to move to Tennessee with several families after Thursday. Ward L Lockard served as best man.

Mary Ann Cardimont died at her residence in Homer City aged sixty. an infant died of pneumonia near Peno Rao with burial in Cherryhill. Mrs Marla Sandles aged 86 died in Clarksburg. Lemuel Miles Putney aged fifty eight from Putneyville. John McPhilimy aged 86 died after leg injury led to amputation. Alexander Ganton, a veteran teamster aged about 77, died of grippe. William H Gamble aged about 75 died in this place. multiple relatives and funeral arrangements noted. Interments listed in St Bernard’s, Cherryhill, Blairsville, Circle Hill, Worksburg, and other local cemeteries. Funeral services conducted by local clergy.
Miss Janet Sloan, daughter of Mr and Mrs FP Sloan, celebrated her eighth birthday with a Valentine day party for many young friends. A sledding party from Indiana enjoyed a supper at W Pattson's residence in White Township with dancing as the main activity. The WCTA plans a portrait of Frances Willard at the Indiana High School on January 26 at the Presbyterian Church with Rev Crawford and Mrs Thompson among speakers. Bertha Fry of West Water Street was surprised by the Public Schools seniors with a masquerade party last Friday night followed by games and a lunch.
