Involuntary Manslaughter case over fatal neck fracture
Giles S Gibson allegedly caused the death of James McClements after a Friday afternoon drinking session and a scuffle on the Garmon town road. McClements died from a broken neck with a coroner's jury finding the death occurred while Gibson was intoxicated. Gibson was not arrested. The body was placed in a wagon and left on the road. McClements was interred Sunday afternoon.

W S Moore druggist of Homer City died after taking an overdose of morphia last Thursday night. Found unconscious in his office Friday morning he remained so until death Saturday morning about seven. He had long suffered nervous disorders and was active in education and morality. Remains were interred Monday after services at his home. survived by wife and children.
