Third attempt at death by action by Mrs Bertha Henry
Mrs Bertha Henry wife of Lewis Henry of Ebensburg attempted death by taking laudanum last Wednesday evening in Ebensburg after quarrel with a young man Harry Priester. She was found unconscious and revived. Three letters found: to her mother in Cherry Tree, to Priester, and to her husband. Her prior suicide attempts and current state described. she is a 21 year old described as beautiful and hysterical. A separate court hearing and local property sale are also noted along with community efforts to beautify the town and a discussion on strong drink by the Indiana Ministerial Association.
