Special Reporter notes since the last issue that 30 prisoners were freed under the Poor Convict Act from October 1 to the morning of the 18th as civil business in Commissioner Jack son s court increases. The October 17 1893 wedding at Muskogee Methodist Church joined Walter T Fears and Edna Carter in a formal ceremony led by Rev Theo F Brower and Rev M L Butler. The couple, both well regarded, were praised for character and prospects as guests filled the church. A reception at the Crabtree home followed with abundant refreshments and socializing.
