New rapid water pollutant test eyed by Rocketdyne scientists
Aerospace researchers at Rocketdyne North American Rockwell say a fast detection method could identify organic pollutants in water within 15 to 30 minutes. The process heats water to break down pollutants, analyzes the gas mix with a computer, and aims to identify up to 20 materials, with two more years needed before state and local use.
