Patty Hearst and the revolt against stuffed shirts

A column contrasts Patty Hearst as a symbol of modern rebellion against middle class propriety and the rise of educated criminals. It argues today’s crime stems from disaffected youths rejecting family, society, and traditional roles, replacing them with pot, crime, or cults, while calling for church and state to curb the stored power of rigid elites.
