Boyle near death after barbiturate self harm attempt
Former UMW President W A Tony Boyle remains in critical condition after an apparent suicide attempt with barbiturates as federal and state murder charges loom over him for the Yablonski killings. Doctors say the large barbiturate dose caused the coma rather than a stroke. He faced arraignment on conspiracy to murder Yablonski and the Yablonski family in 1969.
