Driver Bill Simplo Collects Latin American Racing Treasures
USAC driver Bill Simpson of Torrance is known as a pack rat who loves unique items from Latin America. Since 1971 he has imported four vintage touring cars and a Berta Argentina Formula 5000 car, aiming to race at Long Beach and other USAC events with designer Oreste Berta. Sponsorship comes from Der Wienerschnitzel and Pernod as the team plans three Formula RC races and several Crown events including Indianapolis 500 challenges.
