Agnew to fight indictment as lawyers seek delays
Vice President Spiro Agnew plans to confront a possible federal indictment in Baltimore for bribery and extortion. His lawyers expect private talks with Justice Department officials and will seek a court order to halt presenting evidence to the Baltimore grand jury. Legal experts say precedents are scarce as they pursue constitutional immunity questions and possible delays. Agnew spent Sunday at his Kenwood, Maryland home.
