Poll places Ted Kennedy ahead in 1972 nomination poll
The Gallup Poll shows Sen Edward Kennedy leading with 26 percent among Democrats for the 1972 nomination. Sen Edmund Muskie follows at 22 percent, Hubert Humphrey at 13 percent, with a Mayoral candidate Joan Lind garnering 6 percent in late August interviews of 656 Democrats nationwide. Kennedy and Muskie were tied at 22 percent in another Gallup poll.

In Tacoma Washington UPI reports harbor seal Dub Dub turned 33 over the weekend, challenging textbook beliefs that seals live about 20 years.
