Former 500 Entry Transforms into Shoe-Shell Show Car

A yellow roadster once raced at Indianapolis becomes the Shoe-Shell Helmet Special. Joan Lohrenz of Long Beach rebuilt the Kurtis 500 BL into a sleek show car with a Lincoln engine, magnesium wheels, and racing suspension. It will be shown at the County Fair and may race in Del Mar events.
