Suspected Avedon Impersonator Arrested on Rape Charge
Washington police arrest Oscar Edward Kendall 38 of Queen Creek Arizona on a rape charge and link him to a nationwide scheme posing as fashion photographer Richard Avedon. Kendall allegedly swindled at least 30 women across states, promising fashion careers while taking money. Police had issued a nationwide bulletin and identified Kendall from a photograph seen by a victim in Hawaii. Detective notes match Kendall to an earlier Monterey arrest for a similar con.
